The Highly Educative Everyone Poops Book

The first time I heard about this children’s book called Everyone Poops book, I literally did a double take. I wondered if I had heard the name of the book correctly and was assured that I had. I mean a book that talks about pooping – was there really such a kid’s book available? Yes, there was. It was one of many online stories for children that had been translated from a foreign language. I wondered once again whether the translator had done justice to the name of the book and perhaps the actual name had got lost in translation, but after reading the content of the book all my doubts vanished.

Yes! Here indeed were some online books for kids that talked about the very serious subject of defecating! You may think I am joking or poking fun at this subject matter by the tone in my words, but no, I am not. I agree that the topic of defecating does lend itself to be the butt (pun unintended!) of many jokes, but it is nevertheless a serious topic and one that every child should learn about.

While parents may find it unpleasant to talk to their children about pooping, they have to do so without exception. Try as you might, there is no possible way to avoid this topic or get away from it. After all, pooping is a very natural bodily process and each and every person in this world does it. Not just humans, but even animals and insects defecate. And this is exactly what the Everyone Poops book is all about. But I have to say one thing before I proceed; of all the online books for kids that I have bought till date, this one has been the smelliest! Yes, poor attempt at a joke I agree.

Anyways, moving on, here’s a little bit about these types of online stories. Actually, calling it a story would not be right as there is no story in this book per se. There is no plot, neither are there any interesting characters to remember. The book basically teaches children about the natural action of defecating. It begins with showing kids how certain animals poop. Then it goes on to talk about the fact that people poop too; whether they are old people or new born babies or everyone else in between – all humans poop.

The Everyone Poops book then talks about how people should make use of a toilet when they need to poop and even teaches kids all they need to know about using toilet paper, washing their hands, and flushing away their handiwork. My final verdict is that such online stories help us in teaching our kids about unpleasant topics in a pleasant manner.

What’s So Original About the Michel Thomas Spanish Method?

I’ve heard a lot about this Michel Thomas Spanish method. Apparently, it brought a whole new approach to language studying, and it’s really easy to use by people who don’t have a lot of time to devote to learning a new language. That’s why movie stars and politicians are all very excited about it.

But really, can you learn a foreign language without devoting a lot of time to this activity? I haven’t tried this method yet, so I’m not sure how effective it will prove, but I’m a bit reluctant to start. If it sets me on the wrong track, I know I’ll have a very difficult time finding the right way again, and this may put an end to my attempts to learn Spanish. I’m more used to studying grammar rules and learning vocabulary by heart, that was what I’ve done so far. So maybe I should just stick to the ways I know will work for me.
